Part-Time Instructor - Fashion Management

Position Summary
Part-time faculty for Fashion Management will teach undergraduate courses within the Fashion Management Program. The program offers a BFA in Fashion Design and a BA in Fashion Management with 2 concentrations: fashion merchandising and product development.

This applicant pool will remain online and be used to hire interested part-time faculty as needed.

Essential Functions
Part-time faculty prepare course outlines based on an approved departmental syllabus. Prepare exams and assessments for assigned courses. Work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure standard curriculum outcomes are met. Perform other duties in the completion of the teaching and grading process.

Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.

Required Education
Bachelors Degree in Fashion or related field, relative to course content hired to teach.

Required Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of successful college level teaching and/or 18 hours graduate level studies in field/and or 2 years managerial responsibilities in some aspect of the fashion industry. Experience such as, but not limited to, fashion retail management, buying offices, technical or creative apparel/accessory product design, visual merchandising, promotions, or brand management.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree or PhD in Fashion, Fashion Merchandising, or Fashion Design or related field relative to course content.
