Compensation:
Initial salary placement is based on education and experience and ranges from $85,435 (class I, step 1) to $143,026 (class VI-doctorate, step 10) on the 2024-2025 Annual Salary Schedule. Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
1. Masters in Fine Arts*, Art, or Art History; OR
(*NOTE: "Masters in Fine Arts" as used here refers to any masters degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; as well as art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the "Master of Fine Arts" (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing, or other non-plastic arts. Individuals with a masters degree in any of those specializations must request equivalency.)
2. Bachelors in Fine Arts, Art, or Art History AND Masters in Humanities; OR
3. the equivalent. Applicants who do not possess the EXACT degree major(s) required to meet the minimum qualifications must attach an equivalency narrative and supporting documentation at the time of application. 4. a fully satisfied, lifetime California Community College credential authorizing instruction/service in the appropriate subject matter; AND
5. demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
